Abstract

Comentamos la siguiente revisión sistemática y metaanálisis publicado en World Journal of Emergency Surgery, que revisa la evidencia sobre el shunt portosistémico transyugular intrahepático (TIPS) como puente a la cirugía en los pacientes cirróticos. Examinamos igualmente la metodología y las limitaciones.

We comment on the systematic review and meta-analysis published in World Journal of Emergency Surgery, that analyzes the evidence on transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) as a bridge to surgery in cirrhotic pacients. We exam as well as the methodology and limitations.
