Abstract
We comment on a study analyzing the relationship between cognitive biases and aberrant salience in schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Using a sample of 92 patients, the DACOBS and ASI scales were applied to evaluate both variables. Positive associations were observed between aberrant salience and biases such as "jumping to conclusions" and social cognition problems, while an unexpected negative association with belief inflexibility was noted. These findings highlight the central role of the relationship between cognitive biases and aberrant salience in psychosis, emphasizing the need to develop specific interventions to address these alterations.
