Abstract

Se realiza el comentario y análisis sobre este ensayo clínico multicéntrico aleatorizado doble ciego que evalúa la respuesta clínica y el impacto en la resistencia antimicrobiana entre pautas de antibiótico de corta duración (5 días) versus duración estándar (10 días) en la neumonía adquirida en la comunidad pediátrica. Se realiza análisis sobre la metodología empleada, los resultados del estudio y sus posibles sesgos. 

 

A commentary and analysis is conducted on this multicenter, double-blind randomized clinical trial that evaluates clinical response and the impact on antimicrobial resistance between short-duration (5 days) and standard-duration (10 days) antibiotic regimens for pediatric community-adquired pneumonia. The methodology employed, the study results and potential biases are analysed.
